Professor Shapour Moradi, who completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. studies in Mechanical Engineering at Sharif University of Technology and earned his Ph.D. from Dalhousie University in Canada, devoted more than three decades of his academic life at the Faculty of Engineering, Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz, to teaching and research with remarkable dedication. He was a disciplined, responsible, hardworking, and compassionate professor who consistently strove to deliver course material in accordance with the latest international academic standards.
He was also highly active in research and had published numerous papers in leading international scientific journals. His effective collaborations with industry and his successful execution of several applied research projects within the province reflected his significant role in strengthening the bond between academia and industry.
Professor Moradi was exceptionally precise, punctual, and committed in his teaching. He attended classes from the very first day of the academic calendar and, with exemplary diligence, covered all course topics thoroughly by the end of each term. He dedicated substantial time to his students and patiently addressed their academic difficulties. His adherence to professional teaching standards, combined with constructive rigor and high academic expectations, encouraged students to engage deeply in learning.
He was passionate about the university and academic work, spending the majority of his life away from administrative roles and fully committed to teaching, research, and enhancing academic quality. Professor Moradi belonged to a generation that valued knowledge for its own sake, prioritizing scientific and ethical principles above all other benefits.
The memory of this distinguished professor—a noble individual and a respected scholar—will forever remain alive in the hearts and minds of his students and colleagues. May his soul rest in peace and his legacy be cherished.
