Abstract
This research article deals with the one-dimensional study of a thermoelastic double porosity rod of length l. A thermal shock is applied at the end x = l of the rod. The equations of motion are solved analytically to obtain the expressions of displacement, stress, temperature distribution, and pressure in macro and micro pores. The analytical results are then complemented with a numerical example to show the variation of these quantities with horizontal distance. The effect of thermal-pores inertia on the quantities is also shown through these graphical representations.
